Legal Deposit FAQs

Publishers must send sample of their work to the British Librarys. It's existed in English law since 1662.

We have to send to the British Library and may get asked to send to the National Library of Scotland, National Library of Wales, Bodleian Libraries (University of Oxford), Cambridge University Library, and Trinity College, Dublin.

We charge you £65 to register your publication and send a copy to all of the above libraries and fill out the relevant forms.
